Welcome to Hip Hop on Howard!

Hip Hop on Howard is an exciting partnership between the Media Rhythm Institute and Baltimore City Public Schools, designed to ignite our students' creativity, passion, and talent. Through this innovative program, students will immerse themselves in the vibrant world of hip-hop, dance, and media, unlocking their potential in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Diverse Tracks to Explore

Students can choose from three captivating tracks: hip-hop, dance, or media. Whether they're aspiring rappers, dancers, or budding filmmakers, there's a track tailored to their interests and talents.

Immersive Experiences

At Hip Hop on Howard, learning extends beyond the classroom. Students will embark on thrilling field trips to local radio stations, music studios, and creative spaces, gaining firsthand insight into the music and media industry. They'll have the chance to interact with industry professionals, from music engineers to muralists, rappers to dancers, learning from their expertise and experiences.

A Community of Creativity

Hip Hop on Howard isn't just a program; it's a community where creativity thrives. Students will collaborate with peers who share their passions, fostering connections and friendships beyond the program.

Who Can Participate

Hip Hop on Howard is a partnership between Media Rhythm Institute and Baltimore City Public Schools. Therefore it is available free of charge for all Baltimore City Public School students from 6th to 12th grade.
